The Wonders of Baking Soda

Household uses for baking soda –

Odor eater! – place a small box or bowl of the powdery stuff in your fridge to keep odors at bay.

Fruit and Veggie wash – scrub your veggies and fruit with a bit of baking soda on a sponge or cloth.

Polish the silver – Use a paste of three parts soda to 1 part water and a cloth to polish your pretties.

Remove product buildup – Add about a quarter sized amount of baking soda with your shampoo to remove the product buildup in your hair; wash and rinse.

Clean hair supplies– soak your hair goodies (clips, brushes, combs, etc.) in a mixture of 1 tsp. baking soda and warm water. Rinse and let dry.

Freshen that outdoor furniture – Scatter baking soda on your cushions before you store your furniture for the season.

Clean the grill – use baking soda, a damp brush and elbow grease to clean the grate; rinse.

Freshen Clothes- add a cup of baking soda to your laundry (with detergent too), to get your clothes extra clean and bright.

Hamper care – Sprinkle soda in the bottom of laundry hamper to deodorize dirty laundry until wash day.
