Mock Apple Pie

1 1/2 cup sugar

23 ritz crackers

2 cups water

1/4 tsp. nutmeg

2 tsp. cream of tartar

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Boil sugar, water and cream of tartar. Do not stir. Add crackers one at a time. Boil 2 minutes, pour into pie shell, dot with butter, sprinkle with nutmeg and cinnamon. Put on top crust. Bake at 425*
