Brownie Pudding

1 cup sifted flour

2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

3/4 cup white sugar

2 Tbsp. cocoa

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp. vanilla

2 Tbsp. melted shortening

1 cup chopped nuts

3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)

1/4 cup cocoa

1 3/4 cup water (hot)

Whipped cream or ice cream

Method:

Set oven at 350* and grease 8x8x2″ pan. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, white sugar, and Tbsp. cocoa. Stir in Milk and vanilla. Mix just until smooth. Stir in melted shortening and blend well, add nuts. Turn into greased pan.

Mix together the brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa. Sprinkle evenly over batter in pan. Pour hot water over the top. Bake for 45 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
