Cream –

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup crisco

1 egg

Set aside

Mix –

1 cup flour

1 tsp. soda

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 salt

Add to creamed mixture. Mix in 2 large or 3 medium grated apples.

Mix and pour into an 8×8″ pan. bake for 35 minutes or little longer

Sauce –

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup white sugar

1 cup cream

1/2 tsp. vanilla

heat and serve
