4 1/2 Tbsp. corn starch
3/4 cup sugar- Save 2 Tbsp. sugar to add to well beaten egg
1 1/2 cup boiling water
3/8 tsp. salt
3 egg whites
1 tsp of any flavoring
Mix rest of sugar, cornstarch, and boiling water stirring carefully to prevent lumping. Cook in double boiler until thick, add flavoring. Add while hot the well beaten egg whites gradually. Fill baked pie shell. Can be topped with whipped cream or fruit.
