Toffee Squares

1 cup margarine

1 cup of brown sugar

1 egg yolk

2 cups flour

1 tsp. vanilla

Cream margarine and brown sugar. Add egg yolk and vanilla and mix. Add flour and blend well. Pastry blender words great. Bake in an ungreased pan 9×13″ at 350* for 15 minutes.

When cooled, frost with chocolate icing and sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
