Short Bread

1 cup butter or margarine

1/2 cup sifted icing sugar

2 1/2 cups flour

Preheat oven 350*

Beat butter until light and fluffy. Add sugar gradually, beating thoroughly. Add flour gradually. Roll out on lightly floured surface to 1/4″ thick. Cut into desired shapes. Decorate if desired. Bake in hot oven for 5-7 minutes.
