1/2 cup icing sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Thin icing
flaked coconut
Cream sugar, butter and shortening thoroughly. Measure flour, add salt, stir well to blend. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix well. Shape dough into 1″ balls and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400* for 8-10 minutes. Cool on racks. Dip tops in the icing (plain or tinted green and pink) then in coconut.
