2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. vanilla
5 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
cream sugar, shortening and salt together until smooth. Add beaten eggs and add to creamed mixture.
Sift flour and baking powder. Mix milk, almond extract and vanilla, add to creamed mixture alternating with the flour mixture. Mix to a smooth dough. Put dough in refrigerator for 1/2 hour or until cold enough to handle easily. Roll out onto a well floured surface to 1/8″ thickness. Use any holiday cookie cutter (well floured) and cut out inot cookies. Bake in 350* oven for 12 -15 minutes.
