2 1/4 cup shortening
2 1/4 cup sugar
2 cups molasses
4 eggs, well beaten
9 1/2 cups flour (no, this is not a typo!) 🙂
2 Tbsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. soda
8 oz. coconut
1 lb. nuts
1 lb. raisins
1 pint of milk
Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses and eggs. Sift dry ingredients. Combine with coconut, raisins and nuts. Add to sugar mixture alternately with milk. Drop by spoonful on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.
