Creamy Fudge II

2 cups brown sugar

2 cups white sugar

2 Tbsp. flour

1 tsp. corn starch

2 tsp. baking powder

3/4 cup thin cream

4 Tbsp. butter

pinch of salt

1 tsp. vanilla

Chopped nuts

Mix sugars, flour, corn starch, butter, cream, baking powder and salt together. Place over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly until soft ball stage 236* on candy thermometer. Cool to lukewarm without stirring. Add 1 tsp. vanilla. Beat until creamy and candy starts to firm up. Add nuts if desired.  Pour into greased pan. Mark into squares – cool and cut.
