Cream Candy II

2 cups brown sugar

1/2 cup milk

4 level Tbsp. butter or margarine

boil together until soft ball stage when a few drops are dropped in ice cold water. Remove from heat and cool. Add 1/2 cup nuts if you like then 1 tsp. vanilla. Beat til creamy but not to stir. Pour into buttered pans.

*I add a good pinch of soda to the sugar/milk mixture as to help to keep this from curdling.
