Coconut Bars

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp. Rogers Golden Syrup

1/2 cup butter

1/4 tsp. cream of tartar

Cook until it forms a firm ball in cold water; remove from heat and let cool; when cool, add 1 tsp. almond extract add 1 cup coconut, beat until creamy then mould and cut into bars.
