Mix-

3/4 cup syrup

1 cup sugar

1/4-1/2 tsp. salt

3 tsp. instant coffee in 1 cup water

4 cups flour

1 Tbsp. Anise seed

2 Tbsp. baking powder

1 Tbsp. baking salt (yes, that said baking salt!)

Bake in 350* oven until done or in 325* for 2 hours. Wrap in tin foil while love is still warm so it wont become too hard. Its meant to be though though. Makes about 1 head- loaf pan.
