Ribbon Salad

1. Dissolve 1 lg. pkg. strawberry or cherry jello in 2 cups hot water

2. Add 1 pint whole cranberry sauce or 1 can cranberry jelly and 2 Tbsp. lemon juice; heat over hot water to quicken dissolving.

3. Pour mixture into lightly oiled bread pan and chill. (I like setting it in a pyrex cake pan and then serving it from there.)

4. Soften and cream 1 package cream cheese.

5. Fold in 1 cup dream whip – whipped and 1/2 cup nutmeats (any nut), chopped.

6. Spoon cheese and cream mixture over thickened cranberry mixture and chill (or freeze, unwrapped about 3 hours. Remove from pan, wrap in freezer foil, and freeze until ready to serve.)
