Hamburger Chop Suey

1 1/2 lbs. hamburger

2 -3 large onions

1 cup chopped celery

pepper and salt

1/4 tsp. garlic salt

1 Tbsp. brown sugar

2 Tbsp. “soya” sauce (Soy sauce)

3 Tbsp. corn starch

1 can (or more) bean sprouts (fine noodles may be used in place of sprouts)  – save water

 

brown meat. Add celery and sliced onions. cook 5 minutes. Add sugar, salt, pepper, soy sauce. Use water from bean sprouts and add water to mak 1 1/2 cups. Stir cornstarch into liquid and add to mixture. Cover and simmer 15-20 minutes, add bean sprouts or noddles and summer 5 minutes. Serve with rice.
