2 pkg. yeast
1 1/2 tsp. salt
5 eggs -well beaten
2 cups mashed potatoes
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 tsp. nutmeg
4 cups scalded milk
Makes soft dough (like buns)
Let rise, and punch down, let rise again. then roll out and cut into doughnuts. Let doughnuts rise and then deep fry.
Glaze:
1 lb. icing sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
Hot water to make paste
