Let rise:
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. sugar
Scald and cool:
2 cups milk
1 cup cooking oil
1 cup sugar
3 cups flour
Put yeast in large bowl and to yeast mixture, add cooled milk, oil, sugar, and flour. Stir very well. cover and let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours then add 4 well beaten eggs, 4 cups flours, 1 tsp. salt, and 1 tsp. lemon extract. Let rise 1 1/2 hours – dough will be sticky. Flour board well and roll out dough to 1/2 inch wide. Curl into rolls on well greased pans, let rise until double in size.
Bake at 375* for 10 minutes. While still warm, ice with icing (sugar, water, and vanilla). Sprinkle with nuts.
