mix together:
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1 tsp. sugar
LET RISE.
2 cups milk (scalded and cooled)
1 cup cooking oil
1 cup sugar
3 cups flour
Put yeast mixture in LARGE bowl and to yeast mixture, add cooled milk, oil, sugar, and flour. Stir very well. Cover and let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours, then add 4 well beaten eggs.
Mix well:
4 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lemon extract
Let rise about 1 1/2 hours (dough will be sticky)
Flour board well and roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness. cut into strips 1/2 inch wide and curl into rolls on well greased pan. cover with wax paper, let rise until double in size.
Bake at 375* for 10 minutes. While still warm, ice with icing: sugar, water and vanilla mixture. (no recipe given for this)
Sprinkle nuts on top.
