Sorry I have not posted in eons! We have sold our house, graduated our youngest from college and now, we are living full time in our RV – Winny Graham, a 99 Winnebago Vectra Grand Tour.
While that is a big transition, what is worse is that my RV does not have a traditional oven but it does have a convection oven. This is a problem for me… i have no directions and so I am learning to bake and cook by trial and error. Today I made 7-up biscuits that a friend shared with me on Facebook and Pinterest. It is not my first time attempting to bake, but it is my first time to bake while plugged into shore power (before was with a Generator and was a bit disastrous).
Here is the recipe –
it’s easy, only 4 ingredients!
4 cups of bisquick plus a bit for rolling out the dough
1 cup of Sour cream (I used half low fat and half regular fat content)
1 cup of 7up
Mix these together until its blended
Melt 1/2 cup butter and pour into bottom of cookie sheet or glass baking dish
Roll out the dough onto a bisquik covered surface (sprinkle the remaining bisquick on your counter, cutting board, or larger
surface to roll out your dough).
Knead and then when your dough is not as sticky, cut out your biscuits and place in your baking dish
Bake at 425* for 12-15 minutes.
Thats it!
Now, for my particular oven, I had to bake them a bit longer (closer to 20 minutes) so adjust that time according to your own oven.
