Puffed Wheat or Cornflake Goodie
I do not know the contributor of this recipe, but I do know this – these cookies are yummy!
For this recipe, you are given a choice of ingredients – Puffed Wheat or Corn Flakes. I chose to use the cornflakes this time. Other recipe sites online give you the option of any cereal and the most popular seems to be Cheerios (AllRecipes.com, 2011).

1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup sugar
Bring both corn syrup and sugar to a boil in large pan
Add 1/2 cup peanut butter and stir until melted.
Pour in 6 cups cornflakes or puffed wheat (some cereals are bigger in size and volume so will require less – other recipes call for 3 cups).
Pat into a 13×9″ pan. (I lightly sprayed mine with Crisco baking spray; however, not too much or your cookies will be greasy on the bottoms.)
Let cool, cut and serve.
I promise, they won’t last long!
